In the poem "Family Poem", an unknown author mentions the deep and influential effect of living in a family with such a close bond. The poem stresses the importance of family and the unbreakable bond that each family member shares. When a family shares this great of a bond, it is comforting to know that your family will always be there for you. With that being said, this poem can be connected to A Raisin in the Sun through the actions of Lena and Walter. Even though this play is set during a difficult time in history, it is apparent to readers that Lena desires to create a good family bond within the Younger family. Lena feels as though this is the only way to solve the abundance of problems occurring in there family's life; therefore, Lena is there to support Walter and help in the re-stabilization of his life. Due to the determination of Lena to create this family bond, the Younger family's future started to become brighter; demonstrating the importance of family relationships.
